Babysister!!!

Babysister is a Playskool My Very Soft Baby doll. She is from 1999. I got her as a Christmas present in 2004 so that makes her my youngest child. Babysister is a baby and a sister. Please, do not forget that. It is very important that you remember that. It is all you ever need to know. Nothing else is important except for that. Babysister hasn't changed drastically ever since I got her. The only changes are that she's really dirty now, the Playskool logo on her hip is completely gone, and she obtained a hole on the seam on her butt which has been sewn shut. She also has a few scratches on her face. Her squeaker still works! She likes to squeak a lot.

Basic Facts

Babysister is my little baby girl. She's so cute. There is video of me opening the Christmas present that she was in and I immediately called her Babysister. I was not that good at naming things when I was a kid, but I'm glad I had not changed her name since. Sometimes people call her "Baby" which makes her mad because she is NOT Baby, she is Babysister. I don't know why people forget her name. She is a trans lesbian and is dating Libra.

Here are some facts about Babysister. She is very punk! She dresses in a lot of punk clothing and kind of has that punk attitude. She really enjoys collecting knives and uses them to impress Libra by throwing them at objects or by whittling a small object out of wood. Babysister loves to play with her friends and her siblings. What she loves the most in life is getting to cuddle with her siblings after a long day. She likes to wrestle with baby and repeatedly squeak her squeaker. She also loves to play her guitar. Babysister has a little Tumblr blog if you're interested in checking that out. It focuses mainly on punk stuff.

Design

Now here is the part where I explain why I draw Babysister the way that I do. Like with Baby, she's already a human so it's easy to draw an older human version of her. Babysister has the same hair color and type being blonde and curly. Her eye color is also the same, but I used the dark blue of her pupil as her eye color rather than the faded blue of her iris. I did not notice that I did that until many months later after I started using that color for her. Her skin color is the same. I always thought that her skin was too pink for an actual human being, but I guess some white people out there are just extremely pink. I try to draw her slightly taller than Baby when they're kids, but as an adult she would be around six feet tall. Libra would be around five feet six inches whenever she's an adult. Babysister is also left handed only because I did a drawing of her based off of John Flansburgh so it just stuck.

First Rendition - May 2018

I don't think there's anything new about Babysister here compared to the drawings that were done before this one. Her design is pretty straight forward, I just made her look like a kid instead of a baby. I do have problems with her face here. I don't like the nose and she's lacking her unibrow. She needs that dorsal hump! I also don't like her hair that much.

Second Rendition - June 2018

Here is Babysister in that cute cartoony style that I do from time to time. She's holding a knife and is showing it to Baby. There's nothing new here with her design, but I just wanted to show off how she'd look in this art style.

Third Rendition - July 2018

Not my first drawing of Babysister and Libra together, but it's the first one of them at an older age. They're in their 20's here ... I think. I really wanted to draw them punk since I've established before that Babysister is really punk, but I've never actually put her in punk clothes yet. I really like her outfit here. Whenever I draw a punk I always give them a jacket that has one striped sleeve because I really wanted a jacket with one striped sleeve. I think this idea came from Frank Iero's jacket in the Black Parade. He has stripes on both sleeves, but it gave me the idea somehow. Libra's shirt is kinda based off of Gerard Way's shirt from the music video for "Desolation Row," but the shirt underneath for him was red instead of white. I don't like this drawing that much because I can draw people much better now, but it's still nice. I should draw Babysister with her mohawk spiked up again.

Fourth Rendition - December 2018

Another drawing of Babysister with Libra. I wanted to draw Babysister with her mohawk down and not straightened and I think I just continued drawing her that way. I can see here this is where I started drawing them with unibrows because I was growing mine out. For both of them, I wanted part of their hair to be dyed and part of it not. I'm not so sure what my thought process was for that, but I guess I wanted viewers to realize that this is Babysister and Libra somehow. I don't really like that idea anymore. Babysister is looking much more like me in this drawing which is exactly what I wanted. I gave Libra her one bullet earring again. I like that earring a lot. Also, Libra is smoking in this drawing. Don't smoke, kids. It'll kill you!

Fifth Rendition - February 2019

This drawing is based off of a meme, obviously. I brought back Babysister's jacket in this drawing. I think it should be more decorated and look more worn. She looks exactly the same as before. Ntohing has really been added here. Libra looks nice. I think she also could have had more things going on in regards to her outfit. She needs more tears in her sweater and she needs tears that look less awful in general.

Sixth Rendition - March 2019

We're back to kid Babysister! She has been given a pink guitar that says LIBRA painted on it in white. Everyone must know how much she loves her girlfriend. That guitar looks way too small. I gave her the same jacket and shirt from the first punk drawing and gave her pants that are similar to Libra's pants in the first punk drawing. I like the patchwork pants a lot. Babysister's hair is a bit longer than in the first two kid drawings of her. I like it better this way.

Seventh Rendition - April 2019

Kid Babysister with kid Libra! This was done for an outfit request. They're lesbian cowgirls now. I also posted this on Lesbian Day of Visibility! I think I added things to this outfit which weren't in the original outfit, but I forgot what they were. I think they would wear matching outfits more often especially fun outfits like this one. Libra would try to coordinate their outfits when they're older. She likes being the couple with matching outfits.
