Baby!!!
Baby is a Playskool My Very Soft Baby doll. I am not so sure what year he is from since it seems that he was the baby of the year for 1993, 1995, and 1998, but I would assume he is from 1998 since that would be much closer to Babysister who is from 1999. Baby is the middle child! I have had him ever since I was born in 2000 so that's why he looks like that. I do not remember how his face got broken or where any of these holes came from. I assume some of the holes are just wear from being washed since I'm sure I got him dirty often from carrying him around with me everywhere. His face could have also cracked from being washed in the washing machine or tumbling around in the dryer. The heat does soften the plastic a lot. He also could have gotten his cracks from me being reckless or one of my brothers did that to him. I'm not so sure, there are so many possibilities. One thing that I do remember is a time when he still had stuffing in his body. There were holes in his feet and I put socks on him so none of the stuffing would come out. I don't remember when I stopped doing that and how all of his stuffing was removed, though. I also remember him having his squeaker, but it was broken. I kept it in his body like where it's intended to be and then moved it to his head and eventually took it out because it was annoyingly hard and I think I just wanted to his head to be soft because sometimes I like to lay my head upon his face. That's another thing that could have caused his face to crack. I also chewed on his face a ton as a kid. I still kind of do, but I try not to.
Basic Facts
Baby is my little baby boy. I think Baby has been a boy the entire time I've had him, but I'm not so sure. I don't ever remember him being a girl despite everyone around me acting like he is one just because he wears pink. I can't think back that far, but I know I have had to correct people often that Baby is in fact a boy. It's really annoying that I have to do that. People are just so mean to Baby and I don't know why. I think that really foreshadowed my future realization that I am a man. So, this is why Baby is transgender. He is just like me, but is a baby and more extroverted.
Here are some facts about Baby. Baby loves to play with his siblings and his friends. It's probably what Baby does most. He has so many friends! He has a best friend named Euphoria who is a little brown bear. All they do when they're together is hug each other and say that they love each other. Baby also has a boyfriend named Jojo who is a little clown baby. Baby is really into the scene aesthetic and anything that would be considered kidcore. He doesn't listen to any scene bands so he's kind of a poser, but he doesn't care. Baby is a very talkative little guy. He loves talking to his friends and siblings about stupid things. Some of his repeated phrases are, "Baby," "pee pee poo poo," "poopies," and other things that are similar to that. Baby is into biting things and slapping things. He will bite everyone and everything and he will put anything in his head. Baby mainly slaps me and he also likes to smack his face against stuff. Another thing that he likes to do is sing! Design
Now we have gotten to the part where I talk about why I draw Baby the way that I do. I think most of it is quite obvious since Baby is already a human so it was easy to draw an older human version of him. His hair is green and straight because that is how it is painted on him. His eyes are also the same color as what is painted on him. I have his left eye be lighter than the right since that eye has some paint coming off of it so I've made him be blind in that eye. I tried to keep his skin color the same and I gave him scars to represent the cracks on his face. I drew Baby to be the shortest of the three since I imagine him to look the most like me being around five feet tall. I also made Baby left handed because of how the stuffing in his left arm is separated as to where I can easily make him wave with that hand and have him slap stuff with that hand. That it is for Baby's design for now.
First Rendition - June 2018
This is not the first drawing I have done of Baby, but it is one of the first where he finally has his scars. For some reason I was not drawing him with his scars at first even though I really wanted him to have them. This is more of an example of how he would look when he is ten years old. The short hair is more indicative of his baby doll self with how it's painted on there, but I would imagine Baby would grow his hair out and then shave it when it's too long and then grow it out until it gets too long for him again.
Second Rendition - July 2018
Here is an example of how Baby would look with dyed hair. I think he would do black a few times over his green. I wanted to show that his green hair is his natural hair color. I would say that Baby is maybe fourteen in this picture. He isn't at his true scene self yet, but he is getting there.
Third Rendition - March 2019
Here is another child version of Baby and he is depicted with long hair. This drawing also shows off his interest in drumming. I feel that his outfit is not as interesting as it could be, but he is getting there with his eclecticism. Just wait a few years where his wardrobe is much larger and his maximalist sensibilities can be better represented.
Fourth Rendition - May 2020
A twenty year old Baby with long hair and a lot of bracelets. He looks a little more scene here. He could have a more scene haircut in the future, but I keep drawing him with just your typical layered shoulder length hair like how it looks when you grow out a short haircut. He could have more necklaces and more bracelets with more colorful fingerless gloves. He is still working on developing a more unique wardrobe. I imagine that he likes to make his own beaded bracelets and necklaces. He also has a unibrow here so he could match me more. I haven't decided on how far up his scar would go since it doesn't really interact with his hairline like it should.
Fifth Rendition - March 2019
This one is drawn by a friend of mine. Baby looks a lot more like me here especially with his nose. I guess he is keeping his shoulder length green hair. His outfit is rather simple, but my friend gave him a cool Gir hoodie with sleeves that the real Gir hoodie does not have. I also like that he was given green eyebrows that kind of blend into his skin since the real Baby barely has his eyebrows anymore.
